ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro are getting Android 13

Asus has started rolling out Android 13 to ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. These phones were launched back in July last year with Android 12.

The build version 33.0610.2810.72 brings Android 13. The company is rolling out the update gruffly, so it may take a few days before reaching to all devices. If you own ROG Phone 6 or ROG Phone 6 Pro, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings > System > System updates.

Android 13 brings revamped Mobile Manager, Contacts, Phone, Emergency Dialer, File Manager, Calculator, Clock, Gallery, Weather, Sound recorder, Settings, Data Transfer, Local backup, Armoury Crate, Game Genie, and more. The company has also tweaked the Quick Settings panel, notification tray, and volume panel.

Asus has also added the QR code scanner option for the lock screen shortcut. It has also adjusted the Vibration & haptic strength setting, Blocked numbers setting, and removed the Call duration setting.

The company has advised taking the back up of your data. Because it won’t be possible to downgrade to Android 12 without erasing all the data from your device.

Asus has already updated Zenfone 9, Zenfone 8, and Zenfone 8 Flip to Android 13. Zenfone 9 was the first Asus phone to receive Android 13 in December and other phones received Android 13 in mid-January.
