Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 11 Concept phone. The phone comes with PC-like liquid cooling to keep the phone’s temperature under control to improve performance.

The Active Cryoflux is a cooling technology that boasts to reduce the temperature of the device up to 2.1-degree celsius and improve the frame rate by 3-4 fps during gameplay. It also reduces the temperature by 1.6-degree celsius during charging.

For making Active Cryoflux, OnePlus miniaturized the industry-grade cooling capability of gaming PCs for smartphones. The tech uses ceramic piezoelectric micropumps at the center. These micropumps take an area of less than 0.2cm2 and are connected to pipelines sandwiched between an upper and lower diaphragm. Micropupmps enable the liquid to circulate around the pipelines.

OnePlus has used a curved, transparent glass on the back. It also lets you see the liquid cooling tubing underneath. The area around the camera also has an illuminated pattern.

We cannot say when the company plans to bring this concept phone to the market. It is worth noting that the company also demonstrated a self-tinting camera cover class back in 2020 at CES. This concept could never hit production.
