MediaTek introduces Dimensity 7200 4nm Octa-Core SoC

MediaTek has announced its latest smartphone mobile platform Dimensity 7200. Dimensity 7200 is built on a 4nm process and includes an octa-core CPU. It comes with AI imaging features, 5G connectivity, gaming optimizations, and more.

Dimensity 7200 features an octa-core CPU that incorporates two Arm Cortex-A715 cores at up to 2.8 GHz and six Cortex-A510 efficiency cores. It retains the Mali-G610 graphics engine. The SoC also includes an AI Processing Unit that maximizes the efficiency of AI tasks and AI fusion processing.

Dimensity 7200

The HyperEngine 5.0 technology brings AI-based Variable Rate Shading, CPU and GPU smart resource optimization, and other upgrades for smooth gameplay and battery optimization. It also has MediaTek’s Imagiq 765, a 14-bit HDR-ISP, that brings support for 200 megapixels primary camera. The SoC also supports 4K HDR video recording and it can also capture content from two cameras at Full HD resolution.

Dimensity 7200 supports MediaTek MiraVision Display and supports HDR standards including HDR10+, CUVA HDR, and Dolby HDR. It also has AI SDR-to-HDR video playback to offer improved multimedia experiences.

It has a built-in 5G modem, supports tri-band Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.3.
