CrossfireX, the Xbox port of the PC shooter Crossfire, is shutting down. Developer Smilegate has confirmed that the game will no longer be available after May 18. This news came right before the one-year anniversary of the game. CrossfireX was released back on February 10, 2022.

The company has also stopped selling the game on Xbox Store. CrossfireX will be playable until May 18, but the game will not receive any new content such as maps, modes, camos, etc. People who made any purchases within the last 14 days (as of February 3, 2023) are eligible to get a refund.

“Since the launch of the game, we have worked tirelessly to bring it to a point where we can all be proud, and throughout it all, we have had the honor and pleasure of supporting our players,” CrossfireX’s development team said in a statement.
