Redmi has today launched its latest smartphone Redmi Note 12 5G in India. The phone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display. Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, 48+8+2 MP rear camera, 13 MP selfie camera, and 5000mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 17999.
Redmi Note 12 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel has 1200 nits peak brightness and 4096 brightness levels for brightness adjustment. The phone also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It packs Octa Core Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 6nm Mobile Platform and Adreno GPU. It comes with 4GB and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. Storage is further expandable up to 1 TB with microSD. The phone runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12. Redmi promises 2 Android OS updates and 4-year security updates for the phone.
The rear camera setup includes a 48 megapixels primary camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 2 megapixels macro camera. It also has 13 megapixels front camera for selfies.

The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR sensor. Connectivity options include 5G SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The phone can be charged up to 50% in just 22 minutes.
Redmi Note 12 5G features an IP53 rating to offer dust and splash resistance. It measures 165.88×76.21×7.98mm and weighs 188g. The phone comes in Frosted Green, Matte Black, and Mystique Blue colors.
