Back in 2018, Elon Musk wanted to put video games in Tesla cars. Now he has finally done it. Tesla is rolling out a new software update that brings Steam library to Tesla cars.

The release doc confirms that any game verified on Steam Deck can be played on Model S & X (year 2022+). Users can use wireless controllers to play games. Elon also confirmed that users can also add a keyboard and mouse to play games.

The Infosystem of 2022’s Tesla car is powered by AMD RDNA 2 GPU, the same architecture used by current-gen consoles including PS5 and the Xbox Series X. So, it is capable of offering a good gaming experience. Tesla owners can play several games including Spider-Man Miles Morales, Apex Legends, Elden Ring, The Witcher III, STRAY, and more.

Not many people are impressed with the idea of putting video games in a car but Tesla wants to offer the feature.

The new update also brings Apple Music to Tesla’s infotainment app. Other notable additions include Dog Mode which displays a friendly message on Car’s display to notify concerned passers-by.
