Blackmagic Design has now released its video editing app DaVinci Resolve for iPad. DaVinci Resolve for iPad is optimized for MultiTouch technology and Apple Pencil. It also lets creators collaborate with multiple users.
DaVinci Resolve supports Apple Neural Engine and promises up to 4x Ultra HD ProRes render performance improvement with Apple’s M2 chip. It supports H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes, and Blackmagic RAW file formats.
DaVinci Resolve for iPad boasts to be the world’s only solution that combines editing and color correction in one app. The app can access clips from iPad storage, Photos library, iCloud, and external USB-C disks. The most doable feature of the app is cloud collaboration. So, you can add any number of collaborators to a project and work together on the same timeline.
DaVinci Resolve works fine with Apple Pencil, Magic Trackpad, Magic Keyboard, and Smart Keyboard Folio.
DaVinci Resolve for iPad is now available on Apple App Store for free. It recommends iPad Pro M1 or newer models. If you have an older model, the app may be restricted to HD export and may also limit some features. Some features are only available in Premium which costs $94.99.
