After rolling out the new Twitter Blue plan, Twitter has now started working to add long-form texts in tweets. Elon Musk recently tweeted to confirm this upcoming feature.

As of now, users either share screenshots of notes or create Twitter threads if they want to share long text.

Elon’s Tweet doesn’t mean he introduced the idea to bring long-form content. Twitter has been exploring ways to allow users to share long-form content on the platform without hurting Twitter’s core values. We also reported in June that Twitter is testing a new feature called Note, a long-form text feature.

Twitter is also working to offer creators multiple options to monetize their content. Uses will get options to monetize all forms of content on Twitter. Elon also recently asked users if they want Vine to make a comeback. So, we can expect Twitter to turn its focus into video content and ways to make creators more active on the platform.

Musk wants to increase Twitter’s earning by pushing Blue subscription. So I expect long-form content will become part of Twitter’s Blue subscription
