Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has announced the launch of a short video app called ‘Platform’ for creators. The company has partnered with Rolling Stones India and Creativeland Asia for the app. The app will be the same as other short video apps work.

The company has begun testing the beta version of the app and the app is expected to go live in January. The company will use an invite system for new member signup. Initial 100 members will join the app with a special invite sent by the company. These users will get a golden ticket verification on their profiles These members can further invite new members through the referral program to join the platform.

The app will help creators from different genres reach more people and become cultural influencers.

Jio Platforms aims to build an app for organic growth and steady monetization. The app will allow creators to grow on the platform through rankings and reputation organically. Creators will get silver, blue and red tick verifications that will represent their growth and engagement.

The app will include a ‘Book Now’ button for all creators. Brands and advertising agencies can use this button to contact the creator for collaborations, events, and more.
