Google has finally released the Mac and Windows apps of Google One VPN. It was initially launched for Android and later the app was released for iOS. Google One VPN is included only with 2 TB or higher plans.

Windows app supports 64-bit Windows 10 or Higher. For Apple devices, it requires macOS 11+ and Intel or Apple Silicon CPUs. These apps are only available in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Like other VPN services, Google One VPN encrypts your internet traffic, reduces online tracking, and masks your IP address. You cannot use it to access consent from other regions like you can do with other VPNs.

Google also promises that it will never use VPN to connect, track, or sell your activity data.

Google has independent bodies to audit its VPN and it also shares the source code to ensure transparency. In the coming days, the company will also release an updated independent audit that covers Windows and Mac VPN apps.
