Along with the Pixel 7 series, Google has also unveiled its first smartwatch dubbed Pixel Watch at Made by Google’22 event. The watch features a 1.6-inch AMOLED Display and runs Wear OS 3.5. It also has LTE connectivity and an Emergency SOS feature.

Pixel Watch features a 1.6-inch display with 1,000nits of peak brightness. The display has Always-On mode and Gorilla Glass 5 to protect it from scratches. Google claims that the watch has been designed to keep comfort and durability in mind. It has circular 3D domed glass that blends seamlessly into the stainless steel body. It also has a button on the side. The watch is scratch-resistant and features 5 ATM water resistance.

The smartwatch has a heart rate sensor and ECG sensor for detailed heart rate readings. Good has also used the expertise of the Fitbit team to develop accurate algorithms for overall health tracking.

Pixel Watch runs Wear OS 3.5 out of the box. Google claims that the software is extremely smooth, responsive, and easy to use. It also has Google Assistant built-in, so you can a lot of things and ask for information just by saying ‘Ok Google. You can also download several apps from Google Play Store.

Google has used Exynos 9110 Soc for the watch and has paired it with 2GB of RAM. The smartwatch has 32GB of on-device storage. So, you can store your songs in the watch to stream directly from your watch. There is also a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth and LTE calling.

It comes with Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC connectivity. There is also an LTE variant if you want to use the watch without your phone. Pixel Watch packs a 294 mAh battery and Google promises around 24 hours of battery back. It uses Google’s USB-C magnetic cable and can be charged up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

The WiFi-only model of the Pixel Watch is priced at $350 and the LTE model is priced at $400. Pixel Watch comes with 3 months of YouTube Premium and 6 free months of Fitbit Premium.

The company is launching the Pixel Watch in the US and later it will also be available in Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan and United Kingdom. There is no information if the watch will also be launched in India.
