Electronic Arts (EA) and Criterion Games have officially unveiled Need for Speed Unbound, the next installment of the iconic racing franchise. The game has been developed on EA’s Frostbite Engine and is coming on December 2, 2022, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
NFS Unbound is set to run at 60fps 4K on the latest gaming consoles. The company went ahead with a different approach for the graphics. It tried to make cars look as realistic as possible but used anime-style graphics for characters.
The storyline of Need for Speed Unbound is set at a new location called Lakeshore. The game features a single-player campaign that can be played offline and a multiplayer campaign with cross-play support. Players will earn through in-game racing actions and side bets.
The game features popular American rap artist Rakim aka A$AP Rocky along with his custom Mercedes 190E.
Need for Speed Unbound will be related on December 2, 2022, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, EA App, and Epic Games Store. Need for Speed Unbound is now up for pre-order starting today. People who pre-order the game will also get some exclusive pre-order-only content including epic driving effects pack, decals, license plate, banner artwork, stickers, and $150,000 Bank in your wallet.
There is also a Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition that comes with a deluxe offering created in partnership with Palace Skateboards.
EA Play members will be able to enjoy the game early with a 10-hour trial starting November 29. EA Play Pro members on PC will get unlimited access to the Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition starting November 29.
