Vivo has just launched its latest smartphone Vivo Y22 in India. The phone comes with a 6.55-inch LCD display, Helio G70 SoC, up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB Storage, 50+2 MP rear camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs. 14,499.

Vivo Y22 features a 6.55-inch HD+ LCD display with 720×1,612 pixels resolution, 89.67 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display boasts 530 nits of peak brightness and 70 percent NTSC color gamut coverage. There is a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The phone runs Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G70 SoC. It comes in two variants: 4+64GB and 6+128GB. Storage of the phone is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. The company is launching the 4+64GB and the 6+128GB will be launched in the country later.

Vivo Y22

The rear camera setup includes 50 megapixels primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and 2 megapixels secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the phone has 8 megapixels front-facing camera. The camera app has several modes including Portrait, Photo, Video, High Resolution, Pano, Live Photo, Slow-Mo, Time-Lapse, Pro, Documents, and Night Mode.

Connectivity options include 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, FM radio, and USB Type-C. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

The phone comes in Metaverse Green and Starlit Blue colors. It measures 164.30 x 76.10 x 8.38mm and weighs about 190g. Vivo Y22 is IP54 rated for dust and water resistance.

Vivo Y22 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 14499 and will be available from the official Vivo website.
