Vivo X Fold+ with 8-inch Foldable Display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Launched
Vivo has launched its latest foldable phone Vivo X Fold+ in China. The phone comes with several notable upgrades including SD 8+ Gen 1 and an improved hinge.
Vivo X Fold+ features an 8-inch Foldable Display with 1-120Hz variable refresh rate and Ultra-thin Glass. It also has a 6.53-inch cover display. Both internal and cover displays feature 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensors and support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The hinge consists of 174 parts, made of “aviation grade” metal. The company claims that the hinge can withstand more than 300,000 cycles, opening/closing. The hinge can stay at several angles. This becomes handy for multimedia consumption and video calls. The company has also improved speakers to make sure the audio is loud and clear.
The phone packs Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and 12 GB RAM. It comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options. Vivo X Fold+ runs Origin OS Ocean based on Android 12.
The rear camera setup includes 50 megapixels primary camera with OIS, 48 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 12 megapixels portrait camera, and 8 megapixels periscope camera with 5x zoom.
The phone packs a 4730 mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. With wired charging, the phone can be fully charged in 53 minutes.
Vivo X Fold+ with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 999. The model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 10999.
It comes in three colors – Red, Blue, and Black. The phone is 14.91mm thick when folded and only 7.4mm thick when unfolded. It weighs 311 grams.
