After several leaks and teasers, OnePlus officially confirmed its upcoming affordable smartwatch dubbed OnePlus Nord Watch. The company also confirmed key features that suggest the pricing could be less than Rs. 5000. OnePlus has also added a dedicated page for OnePlus Nord Watch on the official website with key details.
OnePlus Nord Watch will come with a rectangular dial. There will be a single navigation button on the right side. It will feature a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with 368 x 448 pixels resolution. The smartwatch will also support more than 100 watch faces.
The company confirmed that the smartwatch would support 105 fitness modes including walking, running, yoga, cricket, and more. It will offer heart rate tracking, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, activity tracking, and more.
The smartwatch should also feature a music control, remote camera shutter, sedentary alerts, and smart notifications.
If you look at the specs and features, it feels like the price tag should not be more than Rs. 4999. The company already sells OnePlus Watch at Rs. 14999. Now when budget smartwatches are really popular in the country, it is time to target the budget segment.
We still do not know when the company will officially launch OnePlus Nord Watch in India. If reports are to be believed the smartwatch could be launched by next week.
