Cyberpunk 2077 just hit a huge milestone. CD Projekt confirmed that the game has surpassed 20 million copies sold. The game was launched back in December 2020 and achieved this milestone less than 2 years after the launch.

Cyberpunk 2077 reportedly received around 8 million preorders which already made the game a big hit. The last reported sales numbers were 18 million in April 2022. So, it took 5 months in selling additional 2 million copies.

Although the game was criticized for its bugs soon after the launch and Sony also pulled the game from the PlayStation Store for the same reason shortly after launch. CD Projekt has continued to work on the game to fix bugs and performance improvements. These efforts improved the game and helped it to fade away all the criticism it got initially. The game came back to the PlayStation Store last summer and never looked back.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game with a storyline set in Night City. Within 12 hours after the release, the game saw over one million concurrent players on Steam.
