Asus has announced its latest flagship gaming phone ROG Phone 6D. The phone comes with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ 165Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 9000+ SoC, 16GB RAM, 50+13+5 MP rear camera, 12 MP selfie camera, and 6000mAh battery. There is also a ROG Phone 6D Ultimate edition with ROG Vision color PMOLED display and AeroActive Portal on the back.
ROG Phone 6D features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. The display boasts 111.23% DCI-P3 and 150.89% sRGB coverage. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
ROG Phone 6D Ultimate has a new internal cooling system dubbed the AeroActive Portal. It offers better airflow inside the chassis. When you connect the AeroActive Cooler 6, AeroActive Portal works with it to offer better cooling.
The phone packs 3.2GHz Octa Core MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor and Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. It also has 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. The ROG Phone 6D comes with 256GB of internal storage but the Ultimate edition offers 512GB of storage.
ASUS ROG Phone 6D runs ROG UI and Zen UI based on Android 12. The company also promises two OS upgrades and two years of security updates.
The rear camera setup includes 50 megapixels primary camera, 13 megapixels 125˚ ultra-wide camera, and 5 megapixels macro camera. The phone can record 8k video at 30 fps, 4k at 60fps, and 4K at 120 fps. On the front, it has 12 megapixels selfie camera.
ROG Phone 6D comes with dual front-facing speakers with Dirac HD Sound. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The phone also has Ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 6 and grip press detection. ROG Phone 6D is IPX4 rated to offer splash resistance.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, Galileo(E1+E5a), QZSS(L1+L5), NavIC(L5), USB Type-C, and NFC. It packs a 6000mAh battery with 65W fast charging PD 3.0 Charging.
ASUS ROG Phone 6D is priced at £799 and ROG 6D Ultimate costs £1,199 in the UK.
The accessories for the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are also compatible with the new 6D and 6D Ultimate.
