Xiaomi has also announced its latest flagship smartphone Mix Fold 2 in China. The phone has an 8.02-inch foldable screen along with a 6.56-inch AMOLED external display. It packs Snapdragon 8 Gen+, triple camera, and 4500mAh battery.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 comes with an 8.02-inch large 2K+ Eco² OLED display with up to 1400 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content. This display can be folded from the center. Xiaomi developed a Micro Waterdrop Hinge that is just 8.8mm thick. The company also added a one-piece carbon fiber floating plate at the hinge. There is also a 6.56 -inch Full HD+ Samsung E5 AMOLED external display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1300 nits peak brightness. The external display also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Both the displays are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The phone packs Octa Core Snapdragon 8 Gen+ 1 4nm processor with Adreno next-gen GPU. It has 12GB RAM with 256GB, 512GB, and 1 TB of storage. Xiaomi added a VC vapor chamber, boron nitride, and graphite sheets for improved cooling.
MIX Fold 2 includes a 50-megapixels primary camera, 13-megapixels ultra-wide-angle camera, and 8-megapixels 2X telephoto camera. There is a 20 megapixels selfie camera.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an Infrared sensor. The phone has Dual speakers with Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos. It lacks a 3.5mm audio jack and supports USB Type-C audio.
Connectivity options of MIX Fold 2 are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1 + L5), NavIC, USB Type-C, and NFC. It packs a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 comes in Black and Gold colors. It weighs 262g. The phone starts at 8999 in China. It is now available to order but will go on sale in China from August 16th
