Sony has finally confirmed when we can expect PlayStation VR2. The company posted a teaser of PlayStation VR2 on Instagram with the caption ‘Early 2023.’ So, we know that PlayStation VR2 is coming next year.
Sony first showed off the VR2 back in February when the company talked about specs and features in detail. The upcoming VR2 will have an updated headset and revamped controllers. It will follow PS5’s smoother design aesthetics. It will include live streaming capabilities and Cinematic Mode.
The dedicated PlayStation VR2 page on Sony’s website also talks about the product. it promises stunning 4K HDR visuals. at up to 120fps. The company claims that the PS VR2 headset will also be able to track the motion of the eyes for an improved experience. If I just summarize the key features, PS VR2 will offer Headset feedback, Adaptive triggers, Haptic feedback, Finger touch detection, Eye tracking, and Tempest 3D AudioTech.
Several games have also been already confirmed for the device. Some of the notable games include Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil 8, No Man’s Sky, and Among Us. It will be really interesting to see how VR2 manages to outsell its predecessor when it launches.
