Samsung announced its next-generation flip phone Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 at its unpacked event. The phone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with adaptive refresh rate, a 1.9-inch cover display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and 3700mAh battery. It starts at $999.99.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 features a 6.7-inch FULL HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display. The display has a 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. On the back side, it has a 1.9-inch external display with a Super AMOLED panel. The display can show notifications and messages. So, you don’t need to unfold the phone. It can also be used for hands-free video or group selfies using the rear camera. The phone can also be partially folded.
Galaxy Z Flip4 has an Armor Aluminum frame and hinge cover. The rear panel has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. The good thing is that the phone is IPX8 water resistance. The phone also has a smaller hinge as compared to its predecessor. The phone weighs 187 grams.
It packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and Adreno next-gen GPU. The phone has 8GB RAM and will be sold in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. It runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1 out of the box.
There is a dual camera setup that includes 12 megapixels camera with OIS and 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera. The phone can record up to 4K 60fps videos. The phone also includes 10 megapixels selfie camera.
