Apple has finally confirmed the launch date of the iPhone 14 series. The company has already started sending invites to journalists today for the event where the company will launch upcoming iPhones and Apple watches. The event is scheduled for September 7 and will be live streamed from Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino at 10:00 AM PT.
The main attraction of the event will be iPhone 14 series which will include a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. A few reports suggest that Apple won’t release a mini iPhone this year.
We are still not sure what the new iPhone 14 series will bring. Apple is expected to add an Always-on Mode exclusive to the Pro models. There could also be a hole-punch selfie camera and a pill-shaped cutout for Face ID. I hope this becomes true.
These new iPhone models will be powered by Apple’s new A16 chip. This new chip will improve performance and battery efficiency. The company will talk about the A16 chip in detail during the launch event.
The company is also expected to improve the rear and selfie camera setups in all the models. The Pro model is expected to get 48 megapixels primary camera sensor and an auto-focus selfie camera with better resolution.
The Apple Watch Series 8 could look similar to Series 7 but we can expect a new body temperature sensor, bigger screen, and a longer battery. There could also be a revised Watch SE model.
Apple will also start rolling out stable iOS 16 and macOS Ventura soon after the iPhone 14 series announcement. The iPadOS 14 will be delayed for a few days and could be released in October.
