Snapchat is finally moving beyond smartphones. The company is launching a web app to bring snapping, chatting, and video calling to desktops through a web browser. You can log in to Snapchat web using your existing Snapchat account and start using Snapchat on the desktop.

Just like WhatsApp for web, Snapchat for web will be accessible on web.snapchat.com. It will bring most features of the app including Bitmoji Chat Reactions, Chat Reply, sending photo and video Snaps, and calls. The company promises that lenses for video calls will be rolling out soon.

Initially, Snapchat for web will be available exclusively to Snapchat Plus subscribers. It will initially be launched in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Eventually, Snap will bring the web version of the platform to all users.

The most important thing about Snapchat for the web is that it will only be compatible with Google’s Chrome browser and not Apple’s Safari.
