After many leaks, finally Nothing phone (1) has launched today in an online event. The Nothing phone (1) is made up of 100% recycled aluminum materials with dual Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back. The smartphone has beautiful transparent back with a Unique light pattern. The best thing about this smartphone is that you can control third-party products from the phone’s Quick Settings. Staring with Tesla, many other third-party integrations will be reported soon.

The Glyph Interface feature of this smartphone indicates who’s calling and signals app notifications, ringtones, charging status, and more with Unique light patterns made up of 900 LEDs.

The smartphone runs Android 12 with Nothing OS on top. The company has promised 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches every 2 months.

The Nothing Phone (1) comes with a 6.55-inch (2400×1080 pixels) FHD+ OLED 120Hz display with 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 10-bit color, 500 nits brightness; 1,200 nits peak brightness. The phone sports Octa Core (4 x 2.5GHz + 4 x 1.8GHz Kryo 670 CPUs) Snapdragon 778G+ 6nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 642L GPU.

It comes in three variants 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

If we talk about the camera, the Nothing Phone (1) has dual rear camera, one with 50MP primary camera with f/1.88 aperture, Sony IMX766 sensor, OIS, and the other with 50MP 114° ultra-wide camera with Samsung JN1 sensor. The camera has features like f/2.2 aperture, 4cm macro option, and 4K at up to 30 fps. The selfie camera of the smartphone is a 16MP camera with Sony IMX471 sensor f/2.25 aperture.

A red LED on the phone’s back lights up while recording a video to know the recording is on. Users can record up to 4K videos on the phone (1). The Ultra-wide camera of the phone (1) captures macro shots. Users can also set Glyph Interface to control full brightness. This helps in illuminating close-up subjects with a gentle light.

The smartphone packs a 4500mAh battery with support for 33W PD3.0 wired charging. It can charge the smartphone up to 50% in just 30 minutes of charging. The battery has 15W Qi wireless charging with dual charging support and 5W reverse wireless charging.

The Nothing Phone (1) is a Splash-resistant (IP53) smartphone. It has an In-display fingerprint scanner.

It is a Dual SIM (nano + nano) smartphone with connectivity options like 5G SA/NSA (s n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78 bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. The phone has USB Type-C Audio, Stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos for a perfect audio experience.

The smartphone will come in three variants, an 8GB + 128GB variant at Rs. 32,999, an 8GB RAM variant at Rs. 35,999 and a 12GB RAM variant at Rs. 38,999. Both variants of Nothing Phone (1) will be available on Flipkart. Those customers who pre-order the phone with an invitation can get the phone with Rs. 3000 discounts that means they will get for Rs. 31,999 for 8GB + 128GB, Rs. 34,999 for 8GB + 256GB, and Rs. 37,999 for 12GB + 256GB.We wanted to do something different and I am really proud of the team and what we have achieved.
