Google Maps can now estimate toll prices in several countries. So, you know how much toll price you will have to pay on a journey. It will tell also tell you alternate routes with less toll or no toll.

“You’ll see the estimated toll price to your destination before you start navigating thanks to trusted information from local tolling authorities. We look at factors like having a toll pass or not, what the day of the week it is, along with how much the toll is expected to cost at the specific time you’ll be crossing it,” says Google.

Within the settings, you will also have an option to show toll prices with or without having a toll pass in several locations. You can also avoid routes crossing toll roads entirely if possible.

The feature is being rolled out for both Android and iOS for nearly 2000 toll roads in India, the US, Japan, and Indonesia. The company promises to add it to more countries.
