Vivo today launched its new entry-level smartphone Vivo Y01 in India. The phone comes with a massive 5000 mAh battery and supports reverse charging. It is priced at Rs. 8999.

Vivo Y01 features a 6.51-inch HD+ Halo Full View Display. The display also has Eye Protection Mode for a comfortable experience. The phone runs Funtouch OS 11.1 based on the Android 11 Go edition out of the box. It packs a MediaTek Helio P35 processor with Multi-Turbo 3.0 and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone also has 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Storage is further expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

It includes an 8 megapixels rear camera and a 5 megapixels selfie camera.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB. The phone supports Face Unlock using a selfie camera but lacks a fingerprint sensor. It packs a 5,000mAh battery to offer a long battery backup. The phone also supports reverse charging.

Vivo Y01 comes in Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue colors.

The phone will go on sale through the Vivo E-Store as well as offline retail stores. The company has not confirmed the exact availability date.
