Under Musk’s ownership, Twitter could charge Government and Commercial Users

Elon Musk

Elon Musk recently acquired Twitter. He initially bought 9.2% shares of the company and later gave an offer to take over the whole company. The offer was accepted by Twitter’s board and is now subject to regulatory approval.

Elon Musk says that Twitter has a lot of potentials and he wants to change the platform for good. In a recent Tweet, Musk said that the platform will remain free for all users but it could charge the government and commercial users.

Musk also revealed several plans for how he wants to change Twitter. He also insisted to reduce Twitter Blue’s price, add cryptocurrency payments, and make the platform politically neutral. Everyone knows how Bots on Twitter ruin an experience. People use bots to trend a hashtag, increase followers, and get retweets. Musk also aims to authenticate all real humans to defeat bots.

Twitter is not as big as Facebook or Instagram but is used by influential people for making announcements and sharing their thoughts. The platform has been accused several times of shielding a far-leftist agenda while censoring right-wing people. We saw how Twitter censored The New York Post’s report to save Hunter Biden. Musk also wants Twitter to be politically neutral.

Reports also suggest that Most will replace Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and terminate legal head Vijaya Gadde.

All these things will happen only after Musk completes the acquisition of Twitter. It could be completed by the end of this year.
