Popular messaging app WhatsApp has added a new option to hide your ‘Last Seen’ status from specific contacts in the latest beta of its iOS app. So, you can now control who can see the ‘Last Scene’ status on the app.

WhatsApp for iOS beta 22.9.0.70 has added a new option “My Contacts Except…” in the Last Seen privacy section. Here, you can select all the contacts who you do not want to see your Last Seen status.

WhatsApp’s ‘Last Seen’ status tells the time when a user last checked the app. So, you know the last time a user was active on the app. If you sent a message earlier but didn’t get a reply, you know your message was ignored or the user has disabled Read Receipts.

WhatsApp is also working on a similar feature for the profile photo. So, you will soon be able to decide who can see your WhatsApp profile picture. A similar ‘My Contacts Except…’ will be added to hide your profile photo from select contacts.
