Niantic, the developer of the popular game Pokémon Go, has announced another AR game called Peridot. Peridot is a pet game full of adorable creatures and is about caring for and breeding pets.

Players will have to raise, nurture and breed Peridots from egg to adulthood. Every creature is unique in appearance. personalities, and abilities. You are not just helping them grow but also breeding more. Niantic says they also have their own DNA; this ties into the breeding aspect. The game also lets you easily share the photos of your Peridot on social media.

The game is played in camera-based augmented reality. These creatures can recognize different real-world surfaces. You can also with other players to diversify their species.

The game will be launched in select markets in April and it will soon be available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
