Opera launches VPN Pro for Android

Opera VPN Pro

Opera has been offering a free built-in VPN in its browser for more than 5 years. Now the company has announced its new VPN Pro service with additional security and privacy protection.

To use Opera VPN Pro, users don’t need to install any dedicated app. Existing Opera users can subscribe to VPN Pro using their Opera sync accounts directly inside Opera Browser on Android (beta).

After you subscribe to VPN Pro, your device is protected. No matter what Android app you use, your traffic will be encrypted. The VPN promises to keep your identity private and doesn’t collect your private data. VPN Pro also supports data savings mode.

Opera claims that its VPN Pro has more than 3000 VPN servers in locations in over 30 virtual locations around the world. You can protect up to 6 Android devices with a single account. It also claims a no-log policy. Opera VPN Pro requires Android 6.0 and higher.

Opera VPN Pro lets users select specific regions to connect to. switch the VPN protocol, and enable auto-connect on startup. This VPN supports only OpenVPN and IKEv2 VPN protocols.

There is a free 7-day trial if you want to test the service before buying it. Monthly pricing cost $2.99 but it can drop to $1.99 per month if you pay quarterly. Opera also promises a 30-day money-back guarantee.
