Apple has now started the manufacturing iPhone 13 in India at Foxconn’s Chennai factory. Apple started the trial production for the iPhone 13 back in December 2021 and now the phone has come into mass production. So, we can expect a price cut for iPhone 13 in the coming weeks.

“We are excited to begin making iPhone 13 — with its beautiful design, advanced camera systems for stunning photos and videos, and the incredible performance of the A15 Bionic chip — right here in India for our local customers,” a statement by Apple said.

When Apple started making iPhone 12 in India, the phone saw a price cut of Rs. 14000. If you have been planning to buy iPhone 13, wait for a few weeks. Once the India-made units hit the market, Apple will surely announce the price cut.

Apple has already been manufacturing iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE 2020 locally in India. Now iPhone 13 is joining. China used to be the primary production hub for Apple but the company is now trying to shift its manufacturing from China to India. Although Indian factories are still mainly doing the assembly work, it is still a big deal.
