Xiaomi held a launch event in China where it unveiled Redmi K50 series. The Redmi K50 series includes Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50. Both the phones have almost the same design but differ in specs. Pro model has better camera, faster chargingm and more powerful SoC.
Redmi K50 Pro features a 6.67-inch 2K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It also offers up to 1200 nits peak brightness and 16,000 levels of automatic brightness adjustment. The display also passed DisplayMate A+ certification and features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
It packs Octa Core Dimensity 9000 4nm processor with Mali-G710 10-core GPU. The phone has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for faster performance. It comes in 8+128GB, 8+256GB, 12+256GB, and 12+512GB models.
The rear camera setup includes 108 megapixels primary camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 2 megapixels macro camera. It also offers 4K at 30fps video recording. For selfies, the phone has 20 megapixels front camera.
