Popular free-to-play battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone will soon get a mobile version. The company has confirmed this in a tweet where it asked developers to apply for different roles across the development and publishing teams.
The job postings also don’t reveal much information about the game. So, we cannot say what the game will offer. One thing we know for sure is that the game is being developed natively for smartphones. So, it won’t be a port of current Call of Duty: Warzone.
There is already Call of Duty: Mobile which is a similar battle royale game for smartphones. Even if this game also belongs to the Call of Duty franchise, the game was developed by Chinese developer TiMi Studio Group. Call of Duty: Warzone for mobile phones will be developed by Activision’s in-house studios.
The company is now hiring for different roles. So, we cannot expect the game anytime soon. It will take enough time in development and testing before the game finally comes.
