We already know that Samsung will launch its upcoming Galaxy S22 series at its Unpacked event scheduled for February 9, 2022. Now the company has confirmed that the event will be accessible in both virtual reality and online. For Metaverse, the company has made Samsung 837x, its flagship New York City experience center. It is a blockchain-powered virtual space where you will also be able to buy and sell exclusive digital assets.

Samsung has also posted a video demonstrating what its metaverse event will feel like.

To experience Samsung 837X, you can either connect MetaMask wallet and provide credentials or log in as a guest. Checking the virtual space as a guest won’t provide a full experience.

The good thing about Samsung’s virtual space is that you can also experience it in a web browser and can control your avatar using a keyboard and mouse. It feels similar to playing a PC game.

This move is a bit surprising because Samsung wasn’t actively talking about VR recently. Although the company is one of the first movers to VR space. It released Gear VR, once a cheaper VR headset, to offer smartphone users a way to experience virtual reality.

So be ready to see the Galaxy S22 series launch in Metaverse.

The company will also live stream the launch event on Samsung’s website, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Amazon Live, TikTok, and Twitter. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. EST.
