Lost Ark becomes 2nd most played game in steam history by concurrent users

Lost Ark

After just 24 hours of its release on Steam, Lost Ark achieved a peak of over a million concurrent players. It has become the second most played game in Steam history by concurrent counts and is also the fifth game to hit a million concurrent players.

If you check stats at SteamDB lists, PUBG is still at the top with an all-time peak of 3,257,248 players. Lost Ark has 1,325,302 players at its all-time peak. The game has passed the records of both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 which are very popular games on Steam.

After a sudden jump in the active players’ count, game servers started facing issues. The company notified on Twitter that it had to restart South American servers to address some issues and also suffered downtime in the US west. The Central Europe region faced similar issues. Several gamers who wanted to play Lost Ark had to wait in the queue for long.

“We are actively working alongside the Smilegate RPG team in order to explore multiple options to help decrease queue times and get more players into the game. We will provide more detailed plans on this as soon as we are able,” The company said in an official statement.
