Huawei unveils Matebook X Pro 2022 and Matebook E 2-in-1 laptops

Huawei has kicked off its MWC announcements with the launch of new laptops. The company unveiled Matebook X Pro 2022 and Matebook E. Matebook X Pro 2022 is the flagship laptop while the Matebook E is a compact 2-in-1 laptop.

Matebook X Pro comes with a 14.2-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 3120 x 2080 pixels resolution. The display also has just a 6mm wide top bezel where the company has also added an HD webcam.

It packs Intel’s 11-gen Rocket Lake chipsets with Iris Xe integrated GPU. The laptop gets 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB M2 SSD. The company has added a good cooling system that includes three air intakes, dual shark fin fans, and a VC heat dissipation module.

The laptop weighs 1.38Kg and is just 15.5 mm thick at its thickest point. It also has four USB-C ports and a headphone jack. Matebook X Pro comes with a 90W GaN USB-C charger.

Matebook X Pro 2022 is priced at €1,899.

Matebook E is a 2-in-1 laptop running Windows 11 out of the box. It comes with a 12.6-inch OLED display. The device weighs just 709 grams.

It packs Intel’s 11-gen core i5 and i7 chipsets with Iris XE graphics. You also get 8/16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256/512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs.

Matebook E

This laptop just features a single USB port and a headphone jack. It also has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. Matebook E packs a 42 Wh battery with 65W charging support.

Matebook E starts at €649 for an Intel i3 variant with 8/128 GB RAM storage. The model with Intel i5 and 8/256 GB is priced at €999. The Core i5 model with 16/512 GB costs €1,199 and i7 model with 16/512 GB costs €1,399. 16/512GB models also get a bundled Smart Magnetic Keyboard
