Google is now rolling out its Google One VPN to iOS devices. If you have subscribed to any of the Premium plans (2 TB and higher) through the Google One app, you get a VPN. Members can also share their plan and VPN with up to 5 family members at no extra cost.

VPN by Google One lets you use the Internet safely and protect your internet activities. VPN adds a shield against eavesdropping by hackers on unsecured networks and prevents online tracking by hiding your IP.

The company also promises that it will never use VPN to track or log your activities. It claims that its end-to-end systems have been independently audited and client libraries are open-sourced. The VPN is now available in 18 countries including the US, UK, Canada, and Mexico. The iPhone users who are more into Google’s services will be happy with this new addition.

Google has also introduced a few new features for Android users. You can now allow specific apps to use standard internet instead of VPN and temporarily turn off the VPN when you want.

It is worth noting that the VPN doesn’t offer an IP address of another country. So, you cannot use this VPN service to unblock geo-blocked content or to access different shows on streaming services. If you want a VPN for these things, have a look at our VPN section.
