Back in November 2021, Twitter introduced the ability to pin messages in a DM conversation. But it was only available to Blue subscribers. Now the company is rolling out this feature to all Twitter users on Android, iOS, and the web.

In any DM conversation, you can pin up to six threads. For pinning a message, first, go to the conversation where you want to pin a message. Now swipe to the side of the conversation to reveal a pin and then tap the pin.

This feature is being rolled out gradually. I can use it on my Android app but not on the web. So, it may take a few days before becoming available to all users.

Pinning is a helpful way to keep interesting messages accessible easily. Although you can only pin up to 6 messages, it is better than having nothing.
