At CES 2022 press conference, NVIDIA unveiled its flagship GPU RTX 3090 Ti. The company didn’t reveal many details and suggested us to wait a few days for more details.
Just like RTX 3090, RTX 3090 Ti will have 24GB of GDDR6X memory but run at 21Gbit/s, as opposed to the 19.5Gbit/s in 3090. This new GPU is capable of calculating 40 shader teraflops, 78 RT teraflops, and 320 tensors (AI) teraflops. These are obviously better than 3090.
RTX 3090 Ti will be clocked at 1560MHz/1860MHz for its base and boost speeds. There is also an expected 100W increased power draw.
This new GPU also utilizes the Ampere architecture and will replace the previous flagship the RTX 3080 Ti, which was launched in June 2021.
NVIDIA confirmed that more details about this new flagship GPU will come later this month. So, we can expect a dedicated event offering more details of RTX 3090 Ti along with pricing details.
