Netflix has brought HDR support for Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro. If you own any of these smartphones, you can now enjoy HDR content on Netflix. The company has updated its support page and included late 2021 Made by Google lineup as HDR-supported devices.
Netflix certifies devices for HDR support shortly after the launch but it has taken some time to bring HDR support in recent Pixel devices. The delay could be because of the newer Google Tensor chip.
Even if your phone has HDR support on Netflix, you still need a Netflix Premium plan that supports 4k+HDR streaming. The company also recommends a high-speed internet connection in order to stream HDR content. You also need to set streaming quality to High.
