Netflix adds support for Exynos 2200

Samsung will soon launch its flagship Galaxy S22 series. In some countries, Galaxy S22 smartphones will pack Exynos 2200 SoC. Before Samsung could officially launch these phones, Netflix has added Exynos 2200 to its list of supported chips. Along with Exynos 2200, the company also added Exynos 2100 which powers Galaxy S21 phones.

Getting into the list of Netflix-supported chips means smartphones powered by the SoC will support Netflix HD (and most certainly HDR as well).

Here is the list of newly added Chipsets in Netflix supported list

  • Samsung Exynos 2100
  • Samsung Exynos 2200
  • Unisoc T606
  • Unisoc T610
  • Unisoc T612
  • Unisoc T616
  • Unisoc T618

The Galaxy S22 series is scheduled to launch on February 9 and will go on sale in several countries soon after the launch. In some countries, these phones will be offered with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 while some markets will get Exynos 2200 powered devices.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series includes Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to feature a curved display and an S Pen slot.
