UP Government to distribute smartphones, tablets for free among youths of the state

Uttar Pradesh Government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced UP smartphone, tablet distribution scheme for youths of the states. Under this scheme, the government will be distributing smartphones and tablets for free. As per reports, the distribution will begin starting the second week of December 2021.

The government has also created a portal called DG Shakti that will be launched by CM Adityanath soon. It has planned to distribute around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones in the first phase. The scheme aims to provide gadgets so students can continue their education without any hindrances due to the coronavirus pandemic.

If you are a student residing in the state, you need to register on an online portal and produce the following document.

  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheet.
  • Adhar Card of the Student.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Residence Certificate.
  • Govt Employee ID etc.

When the DG Shakti portal will be officially launched, we will get enough information on how the whole process will work. The state government will sponsor the entire cost of registration and distribution.

Students who need smartphones or tablets for education purposes. You can apply under this scheme when the registration link opens. Keep checking the official website for more details.
