Oppo has finally announced its first foldable smartphone Oppo Find N on the 2nd day of INNO Day 2021 event. The company claims that the foldable phone is the result of four years of research and development and six generations of prototypes. The phone also looks impressive.

Oppo Find N features a Flexion Hinge that brings together 136 components with extreme precision of up to 0.01 mm. This setup ensures that the hinge works as smoothly as the joints in the human body. This hinge design also results in a minimal crease as compared with other devices.

The device can also freely stand when unfolded at any angle between 50-120 degrees. The company calls it FlexForm Mode. Oppo has also customized the user interface to offer a better experience on a foldable display.

The phone features a 7.1-inch inner 12-layer Serene Display. The display comes with 0.03 mm layer of Flexion UTG allowing it to easily bend while keep offering durability. The display also has a 1-120 Hz dynamic refresh rate and up to a 1,000 Hz touch sampling rate. There is also a 5.49-inch outer display. The outer display also has Gorilla Glass Victus protection and has a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz.

It packs Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and comes in 8+256GB and 12+512GB models. The phone supports regular split-screen multitasking gestures. The company has also enabled four-finger pinch to turn a full-screen app into a floating window and two-finger swipe down that splits the screen.

The phone has a triple camera setup that includes 50 megapixels primary camera, 16 megapixels 123° ultra-wide camera, and 13 megapixels telephoto camera. The camera can record up to 4K videos. It also includes 32 megapixels selfie camera.

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS L1+L5, GALILEO: E1+E5a, and Beidou. The phone has Stereo Speakers and supports USB Type-C Audio. It also features Dolby Atmos.

Oppo Find N packs 4,500mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge support. It claims to charge 100% in just 70 minutes. The phone also supports 15W AIRVOOC wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Oppo Find N 8GB + 256GB version is priced at 7699 yuan and the 12GB + 512GB version is priced at 8999 yuan. The phone is now up for order in China and will go on sale from December 23rd.
