Netflix India is reducing the prices of subscriptions in India. You can now save up to 60% depending on what plan you are subscribing to. Netflix’s new subscription plans include Mobile at Rs. 149, Basic at Rs. 199, Standard at Rs. 499, and Premium at Rs. 649.

Netflix Basic plan is getting the most price cut. It now costs Rs. 199 per month as opposed to the earlier price of Rs. 499 per month. This plan offers 480p resolution content on a single screen.

This price cut will surely help Netflix in acquiring more customers. People who were on mobile-only subscriptions can now get the Basic subscription at the same price. Basic subscribers can now get Standard and Standard subscribers will now get Premium.

The company claims that customers will be upgraded to the new plan in the next billing cycle.

On the day when Amazon has increased the price of Prime membership, Netflix has reduced the price. Amazon Prime membership costs Rs 129/month and Disney+Hotstar charges Rs. 1499 per year.
