Huawei today announced its first foldable flip phone Huawei P50 Pocket at an event in China. The phone has a foldable 120 Hz display and powerful specs.

Huawei P50 Pocket comes with a 6.9-inch FHD+ foldable OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also has 300Hz touch sampling rate and DCI-P3 color gamut. The phone has Huawei’s patented hinge mechanism with no visible gap when the phone is closed.

There’s also an 1-inch cover display on the back. This display shows time, date, and notifications. You can also use this display to answer calls, take quick selfies, control music, and various operations. It also supports widgets from third-party apps like maps, music players, and QR codes.

It packs an octa-core Snapdragon 888 processor with Adreno 660 GPU. It is offered in 8+256GB and 12+512GB models. The phone runs HarmonyOS 2 based on Android.

The phone features a triple camera setup that includes a 40 megapixels True-Chroma Camera, a 13 megapixels ultra-wide camera, and 32 megapixels Ultra Spectrum Camera. It also has 10.7 megapixels front camera.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It supports USB Type-C Audio.

Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS (L1 + L5 Dual-band), NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C. It packs a 4000mAh battery with 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge wired fast charging.

The phone comes in Black and White colors. There is also a Premium Edition made in collaboration with Haute Couture designer Iris Van Herpen. It features organically flowing patterns in a stunning gold tone.
