Truecaller introduces Video Caller ID and more features for Android users

Popular caller id app TrueCaller has updated its Android app to TrueCaller version 12. This new version comes with a redesigned user interface and some new features. The app now streamlines UI to offer calls and SMS in separate tabs. This new UI makes it easier to access SMS, Group Chats, and individual chats.

The most notable feature is Video Caller ID. This feature lets you record and set a video on your profile. When you call someone, this video will be played. You can either record a selfie video or use the built-in templates to make an interesting video. You can manage your Video Caller ID by navigating to Settings > Caller ID in the app.

TrueCaller had a call recording feature for paid users. Now the company is making it available to all users for free. So, you can now record all incoming and outgoing calls using TrueCaller. All call recordings will be saved locally.

The company is also introducing the call announcer feature. It will announce who is calling. So, you won’t have to see the caller Id to know who s calling. Call Announce will only be available to Premium and Gold subscribers.

TrueCaller has also introduced another premium feature called Ghost Call. It lets users set any name, number, and photo to make it appear as if the user is getting a call from that person. You need to be Truecaller Premium or Gold subscriber to use this feature.

TrueCaller Premium costs Rs 179 for 3 months, Rs. 339 for 6 months and Rs. 529 for a year. Truecaller Gold membership is priced at Rs 2,500 a year.
