Steam Sets New Record With Over 27 Million Concurrent Active Users

Steam has set a new concurrent user record on Saturday when more than 27 million users were online at the same time. As per steamdb, it was 27,384,959 users. Out of these users, more than 7,835,449 were in-game.

Steam’s annual Black Friday Autumn Sale also had an impact on these numbers because several people were on steam for buying games at discounts.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was the most played game on Steam and it had 915,791 players at its peak within the last 24 hours. Data 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds are at 2nd and 3rd places on steam with 677,744 and 344,841 players at their peak. Halo Infinite is also doing good on steam.

In different news, Red Dead Redemption II and Cyberpunk 2077 saw a surge in popularity this weekend because both the games were 50% off.
