The central government of India has launched a new web portal E-Amrit at the ongoing COP26 Summit in United Kingdom’s Glasgow. This web portal will act as a one-stop destination for all information on electric vehicles.

E-Amrit web portal has been developed and hosted by NITI Aayog in collaboration with the UK government. The launch of this web portal was attended by NITI Aayog Adviser Sudhendu Jyoti Sinha and UK High-Level Climate Action Champion Nigel Topping.

“The portal has been developed and hosted by NITI Aayog under a collaborative knowledge exchange program with the UK government and as part of the UK-India Joint Roadmap 2030, signed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries,” the statement said.

E-Amrit will offer key information on electric vehicles to raise awareness. The portal will burst myths around the adoption of EVs, as well as their purchase, investment opportunities, policies, subsidies, etc.

NITI Aayog confirms that it will keep adding more features and innovative tools to make this web portal Moore interactive.
