Amazon has finally released its Prime Video app for macOS. The app for macOS lets users download movies and TV shows for viewing them offline. It also lets you enable auto-downloads and select the download quality from the settings.
The most notable feature of the app is the Picture-in-Picture mode. So, you can keep watching your movie, TV show, or a live event while working on other apps or browsing the internet on a web browser. In some countries, the app also supports in-app purchases for TV rentals and on-demand content.
The app also supports multi-user profiles to offer personalized entertainment experiences.
The Prime Video app is now available from Apple App Store. It is compatible with macOS Big Sur 11.4 and later. The app is free to download but you need to have Amazon Prime subscription to watch the content. Prime Video app is already available for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV.
Amazon launched Prime Video UWP app last year for Windows 10. The app also supports offline viewing.
