Amazon has introduced clip sharing feature to its Prime Video app on iOS. The feature lets you share interesting moments of videos with your friends. For now, the feature is being added to only US users.

This feature is also limited to select Amazon Original series for now due to rights issues. The company has confirmed that the feature works on season one of The Boys, The Wilds, Invincible, and Fairfax. Moore shows and movies will also be added to this list.

While watching a video on the Prime Video app, you can select the Share a Clip option. It will pause the video and create a 30-second clip of what you just watched.

Share a Clip

You are allowed to move the starting point of the clip and check the preview before sharing it.

This is a unique step taken by Amazon. Other competitors like Hulu and Netflix don’t even allow capturing screenshots. When you try capturing a screenshot, video connect is blacked out.

Amazon has promised that more movies and shows will be added later. It will also be interesting if Amazon also bring this option to non-Amazon content.
