During the Xbox 20th anniversary event, Microsoft is adding 76 more games to its Xbox backward compatibility program. Every title the company is adding today will also support Auto HDR on Xbox Series X and Series S.
Some of the games added today include the Max Payne series, F.E.A.R franchise, Skate 2, and Star Wars: Jedi Knight II.
Microsoft has also said that gamers will also notice an increase in resolution when playing original Xbox games. Xbox Series X and Xbox One X can render those games at four times their native resolution. Xbox Series S can render at three times while Xbox One S and Xbox One at double their native resolution.
Before today’s addition, the last time when the company added titles to the backward compatibility program was back in 2019. The company has also confirmed that this is the final update. No more games can be added to Xbox backward compatibility program due to licensing, legal and technical constraints.
